The Portugal captain made history by netting the 746th goal of his career on Wednesday, further solidifying his legendary status.
Portugal ran circles around Andorra in the friendly fixture on Wednesday night winning by a 7-0 scoreline and, needless to say, Cristiano Ronaldo was was also on target.
CR7 started the match on the bench and took to the pitch only after the first half. He made his impact by setting up Renato Sanchez’s goal first and then scoring one of his own late in the second half.
The 85th-minute strike marked the 746th goal of the Portugal captain’s extraordinary senior career with club and country, with 102 of those coming in the national colors.
Ronaldo, alongside Ferenc Puskas, is now the fourth-best goalscorer in the entire history of the sport behind Josef Bican, Romario, and Pele.
Slavia Prague legend Bican is the best goal-scorer in football history with 805 career goals, Romario reached a tally of 772 in his 24-year-long career, and Pele found the net 767 times with Brazil, Santos, and New York Cosmos.
